Babies Ready for Adoption
We’ll have two litters available: the July 7 babies and the October 31 babies. They’ve been handled every day and are social, curious, and ready for safe indoor homes.
Older Rabbits Available too
We’re also opening adoption for several of our 1–2 year old bucks and does. These are steady, sweet adults who are past the baby-energy stage and make great first-time rabbits.

What to Expect on Adoption Day
Adoption days at Rock Island Farm are relaxed, hands-on, and first come, first pick. We’ll walk you through everything you need to know so you and your new rabbit start off strong.

First Come, First Pick
When you arrive, you’ll be added to the list in order of arrival. Families will be able to meet the available rabbits in that order and choose from the bunnies who are still open for adoption.

Bring a Carrier (No Carrier, No Adoption)
Every adopter must bring a safe way to take their rabbit home — a hard- or soft-sided pet carrier is best. A sturdy box with bedding is okay too, but there has to be something. If you arrive without a carrier, you won’t be able to adopt that day.

Snuggles, Fees & What’s Included
You’ll have time to sit, snuggle, and let the magic happen before you decide. Adoption fees are $100 per rabbit and include hay, food, and pee pads to get you set up at home. Every dollar from these adoptions goes back into Rock Island Farm programming for military families.
